Gradual loss of cooling
A sealed-system fault is one possibility, but we also check airflow, controls and compressor performance before recommending re-gassing.
Send the fault details now. We will confirm availability and the next step.

Our repair approach
We begin with the symptoms you have noticed, check the components and controls connected with the fault, then explain what needs attention. A proper diagnosis helps avoid replacing parts unnecessarily.
How repair pricing works →Professional repair service
Refrigerant is sealed inside the cooling circuit; it is not a consumable that should routinely “run out.” If a system is genuinely low, a leak, previous sealed-system repair or another refrigeration problem may be involved.
That is why we keep fridge regassing separate from general fridge repair. A warm fridge can also be caused by fans, sensors, thermostats, start components, compressor performance, airflow or ice build-up.
A useful regassing assessment looks at the cooling pattern and sealed-system behaviour before a recharge is recommended. Repeated topping-up without finding the cause is not a durable repair strategy.
What we check
We use the symptoms to guide our checks, then confirm the cause before recommending parts or repair work.
Cabinet temperatures, frost pattern and how long the compressor runs provide useful system clues.
The compressor and start circuit are considered because poor compressor performance can imitate low-refrigerant symptoms.
Visible oil staining, previous pipework repairs and system history can help guide leak assessment.
Airflow, sensors, thermostats and fans are checked where they can explain the same complaint.
How we diagnose the problem
A recharge is carried out only after checks show that the refrigeration system needs it.
Airflow, control and electrical symptoms should be considered before opening the sealed system.
Compressor operation, temperature behaviour and sealed-system indicators help determine whether refrigerant work is relevant.
Where a leak is suspected, simply adding gas without addressing the cause may only provide temporary improvement.
If refrigerant service is justified, the system should be charged and checked for restored cooling behaviour.
Our repair work
We work directly on appliance components, electrical systems, cooling systems and controls, then test the repaired function before the job is complete.

Repairs we carry out
Once we identify the cause, we explain the repair, the parts involved where applicable and what the appliance needs to operate correctly again.
Where refrigerant loss is suspected, the cause should be considered rather than treating recharge as a routine maintenance item.
We recharge the system only when testing confirms that refrigerant work is required.
Pipework or component repairs can be more involved than a simple recharge and depend on the specific system.
If the fault is electrical, airflow or control-related, we repair that fault instead of re-gassing the fridge.
Repair prices
Regassing is only recommended after diagnosis. A simple recharge usually costs less than a job that also needs leak detection and repair.
See Full Pricing GuideWhen regassing makes sense
This prevents unnecessary re-gassing when the real fault is airflow, controls, fans, sensors or another component.
System behaviour supports refrigerant loss and there is a plan for assessing or correcting the cause.
A fan, sensor, thermostat, start component or other repair may be the real fix.
Multiple recharges without lasting cooling improvement are a strong reason to revisit the leak or wider sealed-system condition.
Common questions
Answers to the questions customers commonly ask before a repair.
Cooling loss alone is not enough to know. Refrigerant work should follow checks that separate sealed-system problems from airflow, control and electrical faults.
Not in normal sealed-system operation. A meaningful refrigerant loss usually points to leakage or previous system work.
Short-lived improvement can indicate unresolved leakage or that the original diagnosis did not address the complete fault.
The system type, refrigerant, appliance condition and nature of the fault must be assessed first.
